On Friday, 26.04.2024, a multiplier event was organized within the County Resource and Educational Assistance Centre Brasov at the National College of Informatics G. Moisil, Brasov acting as host for County Resource and Educational Assistance Centre Brasov. The project members presented the Erasmus+ project Digital Well-being in Higher Education and its results.

The participants were school psychologists and counsellors from the County Resource and Educational Assistance Centre Brasov. The presentation aimed at offering these professionals a new tool for their activities within educational institutions. Although the project was designed for higher education institutions, its findings and results can be easily transferred for any other organisation looking for ways of enhancing its employee’s well-being in nowadays digital world.

The need for empowering teachers with strategies that promote their well-being when using the digital technologies is approached through a workbook, a booklet, and an online course, which offer various information and practical guidance.

The workbook is structured in five chapters which explore in-depth topical issues. Starting with the impact of digital transformation on all aspects of our lives, including the educational system, it analyses the effects of digitalization on teaching and learning and the new competences demanded from teachers. The use of technology comes with new requirements that may give rise to technostress therefore IT resilience and digital competences as well as specific well-being strategies are discussed. Another very important aspect is the presentation of a mentoring programme, offering interventions to reduce technostress and enhance digital well-being among academic professionals.

The workbook is connected to other results of the Erasmus+ project Digital Well-being in Higher Education, namely the booklet presenting well-being assessment and strategies and the on-line platform incorporating the mentoring for well-being programme.
